What our Women’s Health Clinic covers

We offer assessment and management across a wide range of women’s health concerns, including:

Every consultation begins with a thorough review of your symptoms, history and lifestyle.

We take the time to listen properly, explain your options clearly and agree on a plan that works for you.

Our women’s health packages

We offer tailored women’s health packages to suit your individual needs, including Women’s Wellness Assessments and dedicated Menopause Assessment Programmes. Get in touch to find out more about what each package includes and which option is right for you.

Menopause assessment

Menopause is a natural transition, but its symptoms include hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, brain fog, sleep disruption, joint pain and changes in libido, which can significantly affect quality of life. Perimenopause, the period leading up to the final menstrual period, can begin years earlier and is frequently under-recognised, particularly when symptoms are attributed to stress or anxiety rather than hormonal change.

At ERIC Healthcare, we offer thorough menopause assessments that take the full clinical picture into account.

HRT management

Where Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is appropriate, we can initiate, review and manage your treatment privately, tailoring the type, dose and route of administration to your individual needs and preferences.

We follow current NICE guidelines and the latest evidence on HRT safety and efficacy, and provide clear, honest information to support your decision-making.

For women who are unable to take or prefer not to take HRT, we discuss the full range of non-hormonal options and lifestyle approaches, ensuring you leave with a plan you feel confident in.

Women’s sexual
health

Our women’s sexual health service offers confidential screening and assessment in a discreet, non-judgemental environment. We provide testing for a full range of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), alongside assessment and management of conditions affecting sexual wellbeing, including changes in libido, vaginal discomfort and recurrent infections.

Sexual health concerns are often left unaddressed due to embarrassment or uncertainty about where to turn. At ERIC Healthcare, you can speak openly with an experienced GP who will approach your concerns with sensitivity and without judgement.

Results are handled confidentially and treatment or onward referral is arranged promptly where needed.

Hormonal health assessments

We offer comprehensive hormonal blood panels that go beyond standard testing, reviewed alongside your symptoms and medical history.

Where a hormonal condition is identified or suspected, we will discuss your options clearly and, where specialist gynaecological or endocrinological input is needed, arrange an appropriate referral through our specialist network.

Thyroid and metabolic screening

Thyroid conditions are significantly more common in women than in men, and symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, feeling cold, hair loss and low mood are often dismissed or attributed to other causes before thyroid function is tested. Our thyroid assessments go beyond a basic TSH measurement where the clinical picture warrants it, giving a more complete view of thyroid health.

Metabolic screening for women considers the interplay between hormonal status, insulin resistance, cardiovascular risk and weight – factors that become increasingly relevant through perimenopause and beyond.

When metabolic or thyroid concerns are identified, we develop a clear management plan and provide regular monitoring to track progress over time.

Weight management support

Weight changes are a common and often frustrating feature of hormonal transition, particularly during perimenopause and menopause. Changes in oestrogen and progesterone affect metabolism, fat distribution and appetite regulation in ways that make standard diet-and-exercise approaches less effective for many women. Our weight management support takes these factors into account.

We assess the hormonal, metabolic and lifestyle contributors to weight gain and provide structured, evidence-based support – including medical options where appropriate. All weight management is medically supervised and built around your individual circumstances, with regular review appointments to assess progress and adapt the plan as needed.

Perimenopause can begin several years before your periods stop, typically in your mid-to-late 40s, though it can occur earlier. Symptoms include changes in menstrual cycle regularity, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disruption, low mood, brain fog and changes in libido. If you recognise these symptoms, a menopause assessment is a good starting point. A diagnosis can often be made on the basis of your symptoms without a blood test being strictly necessary.

Current evidence, including updated NICE guidelines, supports HRT as a safe and effective treatment for the majority of women with menopausal symptoms. The risks associated with HRT are small for most women and should be weighed against the significant benefits for quality of life and long-term health. Your GP will discuss your individual risk profile with you in full before recommending any treatment.

We offer testing for a full range of sexually transmitted infections, including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B and herpes. Testing is discreet and results are handled confidentially. Treatment or onward referral is arranged promptly where needed.

No. You can book directly as a new patient without a referral. We will take a full medical history at your first appointment and arrange any relevant tests or investigations from there.
