Care is the Cornerstone of our Practice

Expert Hormonal Assessment · Personalised Treatment Plans · Consultant Endocrinologist Access

Hormones regulate almost every system in the body, from energy and metabolism to mood, weight and sexual health.

When something is out of balance, the effects can be wide-ranging and often difficult to attribute to a single cause.

Fatigue, weight gain, low mood, brain fog, changes in libido: these are symptoms that are frequently dismissed or left uninvestigated, yet in many cases they point to a treatable hormonal condition.

At ERIC Healthcare, our Endocrinology & Hormone Health Clinic offers a thorough, private assessment of hormonal health, with access to Consultant Endocrinologist-led care when specialist input is needed.

Based in Salford, with appointments available within 24–48 hours, we take the time to investigate thoroughly, explain clearly, and agree a plan that’s right for you.

Hormone Health Clinic Salford

What our Hormone Health Clinic covers

We assess and manage a wide range of endocrine and hormonal conditions, including:

Every consultation begins with a detailed review of your symptoms, history and lifestyle.

Where blood tests are needed, we can arrange them promptly and review the results with you in full – in the context of how you feel, not just where the numbers sit within a reference range.

Thyroid assessment and management

The thyroid gland plays a central role in regulating metabolism, energy levels, body temperature, mood and weight. Both an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) and an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) can cause significant symptoms – yet thyroid conditions are frequently underdiagnosed, particularly when results fall within standard reference ranges, but symptoms persist.

Our GPs take a thorough approach to thyroid assessment, looking beyond a basic TSH test where appropriate and considering the full clinical picture. Where thyroid dysfunction is confirmed or suspected, we can initiate or review treatment, arrange further investigation and refer to a Consultant Endocrinologist if needed.

Diabetes assessment and ongoing monitoring

Whether you have been newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, have been told you are at risk, or are living with type 1 diabetes and want better access to monitoring and support, our clinic offers a more responsive and personalised approach than is often possible within NHS primary care.

We can arrange comprehensive diabetes blood panels, review your current management, discuss medication options and provide structured follow-up to track how your treatment is working.

For those at the pre-diabetes stage, early intervention through our metabolic health programme can significantly reduce the risk of progression.

Testosterone deficiency and Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Low testosterone, or testosterone deficiency syndrome, is more common than is widely recognised and can have a significant impact on energy, mood, body composition, libido and cognitive function. It is, however, frequently overlooked in standard GP appointments, where symptoms may be attributed to stress, age or lifestyle without a full hormonal assessment being carried out.

At ERIC Healthcare, we offer a structured assessment that includes a full testosterone profile alongside relevant hormonal markers. Where deficiency is confirmed and treatment is appropriate, we can initiate and manage Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) privately — with regular monitoring to ensure your treatment remains safe and effective. All TRT management is overseen with clinical rigour, and specialist endocrinology input is available where cases are complex.

Metabolic health optimisation and weight management

Metabolic health sits at the junction of hormonal, cardiovascular and nutritional wellbeing, and poor metabolic health underlies many of the most common chronic conditions, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease and hormonal imbalance. Our approach goes beyond weight as a number on a scale: we assess the hormonal, metabolic and lifestyle factors that are contributing to your current health picture and put together a plan that addresses root causes.
Weight management support at ERIC Healthcare is structured, evidence-based and medically supervised. Where appropriate, this may include assessment for medical weight management options, including GLP-1 therapies, alongside dietary and lifestyle guidance and regular review appointments.

Specialist input and Consultant Endocrinologist-led care

For conditions that require specialist endocrinology input, including complex thyroid disorders, adrenal conditions, pituitary concerns or difficult-to-manage diabetes, ERIC Healthcare can arrange access to Consultant Endocrinologist-led assessments and management plans, privately and without lengthy waiting times.
Your GP will remain your primary point of contact throughout, working alongside the specialist team to ensure your care is joined-up and clearly communicated. You will always have a clear understanding of your diagnosis, your options and what happens next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hormonal imbalances can present in many ways, including persistent fatigue, unexplained weight gain or difficulty losing weight, low mood or anxiety, brain fog, poor sleep, changes in libido, hair thinning and feeling cold. Because these symptoms overlap with many conditions, a thorough assessment is the most reliable way to identify what’s going on.

Yes. Standard NHS thyroid testing typically measures TSH alone, which does not always give a complete picture. We can arrange a more comprehensive thyroid panel and review your results in light of your symptoms. In some cases, further investigation or a trial of treatment may be appropriate even when standard results appear within range.

A testosterone assessment includes a blood test measuring total and free testosterone, along with other relevant hormonal markers.

Results are reviewed in the context of your symptoms and medical history. If deficiency is confirmed and treatment is clinically appropriate, we will discuss the options with you, including the initiation of TRT where suitable.

TRT is a well-established treatment when prescribed and monitored appropriately.

We carry out baseline assessments before initiating therapy and arrange regular follow-up blood tests to monitor hormone levels, red blood cell count and other relevant markers.

All TRT at ERIC Healthcare is managed with clinical oversight, and specialist endocrinology input is available for complex cases.

Yes. Where weight loss has been resistant to lifestyle changes, there is often an underlying hormonal or metabolic factor worth investigating, such as hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or low testosterone.

We assess these as part of our weight management programme and, where appropriate, can discuss medically supervised options including GLP-1 therapies.

Yes. Where your GP assessment identifies a need for specialist input for complex thyroid conditions, adrenal or pituitary concerns, or difficult-to-manage diabetes, we can arrange Consultant Endocrinologist-led assessments and management plans privately, without NHS waiting times.

No. You can book directly as a new patient without a GP referral. We will take a full medical history at your first appointment and arrange any relevant investigations from there.
