Care is the Cornerstone of our Practice

Rapid Pain Relief · Improved Mobility · Reduced Waiting Times

Joint pain can have a significant impact on day-to-day life. By limiting movement and disrupting sleep it makes even straightforward activities difficult. At ERIC Healthcare, our Joint Injection Clinic offers prompt, expert assessment and treatment for knee and shoulder pain, with appointments available within 24–48 hours and no lengthy NHS wait.

Our GPs are experienced in musculoskeletal assessment and joint injection therapy, providing targeted treatment to reduce inflammation, relieve pain and restore mobility, with a personalised management plan agreed at every appointment.

What our Joint Injection Clinic offers

Corticosteroid injections are one of the most effective short-to-medium-term treatments for osteoarthritis pain, working directly at the site of inflammation to provide meaningful relief. Where injections alone are not sufficient, we can discuss the full range of management options and arrange specialist musculoskeletal or orthopaedic referral where needed.

Why choose ERIC Healthcare for joint injections?

NHS waiting times for joint pain assessment and treatment can be significant. Our private clinic means you are seen quickly, assessed thoroughly and, where clinically appropriate, treated at the same appointment. All injections are carried out by an experienced GP in a clean clinical environment, with full aftercare guidance provided.

We take the time to understand your symptoms, how they affect your daily life, and what you want from treatment, so the plan we agree on is right for you.

No matter the cause of your condition - sports, work, accident, or otherwise, we are here to serve you.

ERIC Healthcare is based at Bowsall House, 3 King Street, Salford, M3 7DG – a short distance from Manchester city centre. Most patients are seen within 24–48 hours, seven days a week. All consultations are strictly confidential.

We offer corticosteroid injections for osteoarthritis of the knee and shoulder. These are most effective where pain is caused by joint inflammation and have not adequately responded to pain relief medication or physiotherapy. Your GP will assess your suitability at consultation.

Many patients experience noticeable pain relief within a few days of the injection, with the full effect typically felt within one to two weeks. The duration of relief varies between individuals but commonly lasts several weeks to months.

Corticosteroid joint injections are a well-established and widely used treatment. Side effects are generally mild and temporary. Your GP will discuss the benefits, risks and what to expect before proceeding, and will confirm your suitability for the procedure at your assessment.

In many cases, where your symptoms and history are straightforward and you are clinically suitable, the injection can be carried out at the same appointment as your assessment. Your GP will confirm this at consultation.
