Care is the Cornerstone of our Practice

Expert Clinical Assessment · Consultant Cardiologist Access · Personalised Management Plans

Heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity are among the leading causes of serious illness in the UK. In many cases, the warning signs are present long before a significant health event occurs.

At ERIC Healthcare, our Cardio-Metabolic Health Clinic is designed to identify those risks early, manage existing conditions effectively, and connect you with specialist cardiology input when you need it.

Based in Salford with appointments available within 24–48 hours, we offer a joined-up approach to cardiovascular and metabolic health, looking at the full picture rather than treating each risk factor in isolation. Whether you’re concerned about a specific symptom, managing a long-term condition, or simply want to understand your risk, we’re here to help.

Private Cardiac Care Salford

What our Cardio-Metabolic Clinic covers

Our GPs assess and manage a wide range of cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, including:

Appointments are thorough and unhurried. Your GP will take time to understand your history, interpret your results in context, and agree on a management plan that fits your life, not just your numbers.

Chest pain, palpitations and urgent concerns

Chest pain and palpitations can have many causes, some straightforward, others requiring prompt investigation.

Rather than waiting weeks for an NHS appointment or spending hours in A&E, our rapid access clinic means you can be assessed quickly by an experienced GP who can arrange an ECG, request blood tests and determine whether specialist cardiology review is needed – all at the same visit where clinically appropriate.

We take all cardiac symptoms seriously. If your assessment raises concerns that require urgent attention, we will advise you clearly on next steps, including emergency care if appropriate.

Hypertension, cholesterol and long-term management

High blood pressure and raised cholesterol are two of the most significant and modifiable risk factors for heart attack and stroke – yet both are often silent until a problem arises. Private management through ERIC Healthcare gives you more time with your GP, faster access to monitoring and results, and a more proactive approach than is typically possible within NHS appointment constraints.

We work with you to understand what’s driving your readings, agree realistic lifestyle and treatment goals, and monitor progress over time. Where medication is appropriate, we can prescribe privately, and where ongoing specialist input is needed, we can facilitate this through our cardiology network.

Weight management and diabetes prevention

Excess weight and insulin resistance sit at the intersection of cardiovascular and metabolic health – increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and a range of other conditions. Our approach to weight management goes beyond simple advice: we assess the underlying factors contributing to weight gain, including hormonal, metabolic and lifestyle drivers, and put together a structured, supported plan.

For those at risk of type 2 diabetes, we offer evidence-based prevention programmes designed to reduce that risk through targeted lifestyle intervention, monitoring and, where appropriate, medical support.

 Consultant Cardiologist-led care

Where your assessment identifies a need for specialist cardiology input, ERIC Healthcare can facilitate access to Consultant Cardiologist-led assessments and management plans — privately and without the wait associated with NHS cardiology referral pathways.

This means that investigations such as echocardiograms, 24-hour ECG monitoring or specialist review of complex arrhythmias or structural heart concerns can be arranged promptly, with findings fed back clearly and a joined-up management plan agreed between your GP and the specialist team. You’ll never be left managing a complex result alone

Frequently Asked Questions

If you experience chest pain, seek emergency care immediately. For chest discomfort, tightness or palpitations that are not an emergency but are persistent, recurring or concerning you, a private GP assessment is a sensible next step. We can arrange an ECG and initial investigations at the same appointment and advise on whether specialist cardiology review is needed.

Yes. We can assess, treat and monitor both hypertension and raised cholesterol through our clinic. This includes prescribing medication privately where appropriate, arranging relevant blood tests and providing regular follow-up appointments to track progress and adjust treatment as needed.

Cardiovascular risk screening involves assessing the combination of factors: blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, weight, age, smoking history and family history.

Together, these can determine your likelihood of experiencing a heart attack or stroke. We use established clinical tools to calculate your risk and discuss what it means, along with the steps that can most effectively reduce it.

If blood tests or a risk assessment suggest you are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, we can put together a structured prevention plan.

This typically involves targeted dietary and lifestyle guidance, regular monitoring of blood sugar levels, and medical support where appropriate. Early intervention at the pre-diabetes stage can significantly reduce the likelihood of progression.

Yes. Where your GP assessment identifies a need for specialist cardiology input, we can arrange access to Consultant Cardiologist-led assessments and management plans privately.

No. You can book directly as a new patient without a GP referral. We will take a full medical history at your first appointment and arrange any relevant investigations from there.
